TMPGEnc Movie Plug-in SpursEngine is an add-on for TMPGEnc video applications that enables hardware-accelerated encoding via Toshiba’s SpursEngine processor. When used with a compatible SpursEngine device, it offloads H.264/AVC and MPEG-2 encoding from the CPU, delivering significantly faster transcodes and lower system load while maintaining access to TMPGEnc’s quality controls such as bitrate settings, profile/level selection, and GOP structure. It integrates directly with supported TMPGEnc products (such as Video Mastering Works and Authoring Works), making it well suited for accelerating DVD, Blu-ray, AVCHD, and file-based exports from HD sources.
